The House

Francesco Bellani makes a short collection of menswear for men who would rather own eight good things than forty ordinary ones.

Fewer things, better made

The collection is deliberately small: knitwear without pattern or logo, trousers cut to sit clean on the shoe, outerwear that layers rather than announces. Nothing in it is designed to be recognised. It is designed to be worn, often, for a long time, and to look no more dated in five years than it does today.

That is a harder brief than it sounds. It rules out most of what a season normally produces.

Designed in Italy

Every piece is designed in Italy — the cut, the proportion, the colour, the finish. The collection takes its names from the places that shaped it: Brera, Navigli, Como, Portofino, Camogli, Aosta, Lombardia, Solferino.

Our garments are manufactured by partner factories overseas. We say “designed in Italy” rather than “made in Italy” because that is the truth, and because we would rather you trusted the small claims than doubted the large ones.

What we do not do

We do not run seasonal sales, invent recommended prices, or mark a garment down the week after you buy it. The price on the page is the price. If a piece is worth owning at €77, it is worth €77 in November.

We do not chase trends, and we do not produce a new collection every eight weeks. Pieces stay in the range as long as they earn their place.

How we look after you

Shipping is complimentary worldwide. Returns are free within thirty days of delivery. Every order is tracked to the door, and someone reads every email sent to team@francescobellani.com.

If a piece does not fit, or does not feel the way you hoped, send it back. We would rather have the garment returned than have it sit unworn in a wardrobe.
